Forest City Enterprises announced the names of another 13 restaurants and stores – ranging from steak houses to a surf shop – that will take up residence at The Village at Gulfstream.
The Village is expected to have its grand opening Feb. 11, the Thursday after Super Bowl XLIV, which will be played in nearby Dolphin Stadium, about nine miles due west of Gulfstream Park.
Gulfstream Park’s 2010 race meeting will begin Sunday, Jan. 3.
Phase 1 of The Village at Gulfstream Park is a $244 million leisure-fashion-entertainment project adjacent to historic Gulfstream Park. The cost will rise to $1.2 billion with the completion of The Village’s Phase II, which is the residential component of the project. A movie theater will be part of the Phase II package, which will focus on construction of a hotel and condominiums.
A list, with descriptions, for all 45 announced tenants follows. (The 13 newcomers are listed in boldface.)
Forest City says five of The Village’s restaurants – Cantina Laredo, Santanera, Greenhouse, Texas de Brazil and Cadillac Ranch – will be opened by Super Bowl Sunday.
“We are dedicated to making the Village at Gulfstream Park a diverse destination full of unique experiences from around the world,” said Will Voegele, project developer, Forest City Commercial Development. “We’re confident that the broad array of options in food, fashion and entertainment will delight guests of all styles and tastes.”
Gulfstream Park can be accessed through either US1 or Hallandale Beach Boulevard, less than two miles east of I-95.
With the Southeast’s finest racing and gaming facility as its anchor, The Village will offer 410,000 square feet for retail space, accommodating an estimated 70 stores, with an additional 90,000 square feet of office space.
