Career:

• After several years splitting his winter between New York and Florida, Coa committed to Gulfstream in 2008 and dominated, winning the title comfortably over John Velazquez and picking up a victory in the Donn Handicap aboard Spring at Last.
• It continued a run of seven titles won at Belmont and Aqueduct and leading New York in annual wins in both 2006 and 2007. His 303 victories in '06 made him the fourth rider in history to win 300 or more in a single years in New York.
• He has for riding titles at Calder.
