Missed the top-5 by just one win at Gulfstream in 2008, but still had more victories than his previous two seasons when he was among the leading quintet. Leading that charge was Skip Away Stakes winner Gottcha Gold and Holy Bull Stakes winner Hey Byrn, who also finished fourth in the Florida Derby and seventh in the Preakness Stakes
