  • Pitts was the assistant to Ken McPeek for five years and inherited many of the stable’s runners when he became a bloodstock agent in June 2005
  • She’s the daughter of Clinton Pitts Jr., a longtime Maryland racing official who served a term as chief steward and she came up working for trainer Francis Campitelli.
  • She won her first race on her own July 1, 2005 with Cat Quatorze at Churchill Downs and three months later won her first Grade 1 stakes when Sweet Talker took the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland
  • Her biggest star has been Einstein, who won the Gulfstream Park Turf in 2006 and 2008. He also competed in the Donn Handicap in 2008 and was one of only two horses to win two Grade 1 turf races last year
  • She trained 2007 Horse of the Year Curlin through his career debut at Gulfstream where he won by 12¾ lengths. The colt’s owners sold a majority interest in the colt two days later and he was transferred to trainer Steve Asmussen.
