Legendary name in racing through great upsets of top horses since the 1960s

Originally owned wholly by Jack Dryfus, the famed Wall Street financier and founder of the Dreyfus Funds, the farm was sold to Roy Lerman of Ocala, Fla., who has maintained the facility for his own horses while Dreyfus runs his racing stable out of Craig Wheeler Thoroughbreds.?Wheeler managed Hobeau Farm for 28 years

Hobeau's first horse was Beau Purple. He upset five-time Horse of the Year Kelso three times in his career

Other famous upsetters include Onion and Prove Out, who each beat Secretariat in 1973, and Handsome Boy, who topped Buckpasser in 1967.

Most horses trained by Allen Jerkens, although Dreyfus sends a horse each year to former jockey Pete Anderson, including multiple-stakes winner Delightful Kiss
