• Perennial leader in New Jersey and South Florida, Broome started 2008 within easy reach of the 1,000 career-win plateau … Specializes in the claiming game and owns most of the runners in his barn.

• Has won eight trainer and/or owner titles at the top New Jersey tracks, Monmouth Park and the Meadowlands.

• Top horses have included 2005 stakes winner Silver Moose, Mi Narrow and Gail’s Brush. The latter, following a $40,000 claim at Gulfstream in 1986, won four stakes that year.

• Network, a $62,500 claim at Gulfstream, won a pair of Monmouth stakes last summer, the Lamplighter and Spend a Buck, and finished fourth in the Pennsylvania Derby.
