  • Regularly in the headlines in 2007 with stakes stars Dream Rush, Summer Doldrums and High Finance ... Dream Rush proved to be one of the quickest fillies last year going from a victory in the Old Hat Stakes at Gulfstream to a pair of Grade 1 victories in the Prioress and Test Stakes. She set a torrid pace and faded to  fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint ... Summer Doldrums won stakes on both dirt and turf last year, while High Finance, who placed in three races at Gulfstream in 2006 emerged as a sprinter with a victory in the Tom Fool at Belmont last June.
  • Violette made a major impact in 2004 Triple Crown preps at Gulfstream with Read the Footnotes, who captured the 2004 Fountain of Youth Stakes and finished fourth in the Florida Derby before a seventh in the Kentucky Derby ... That followed 2003 campaign in which Read the Footnotes was named top New-York bred juvenile, winning the Remsen and Nashua Stakes.
  • Also saddled Swingforthefences to a placing in that winter’s Tampa Bay Derby.
  • Citadeed won the 1995 Peter Pan in his first start under Violette’s care, following a seventh-place finish in the Kentucky Derby that year.
