Ken Dunn Takes the Reins at Gulfstream Park

Gulfstream Park today announced that effective immediately Ken Dunn has joined the management team at Gulfstream Park.  Mr. Dunn has over 40 years experience in the thoroughbred horse racing industry and is well known in the South Florida market, as prior to April 2008 he served as the President of Calder Race Course in Miami Gardens.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to return to racing and to contribute to the great racing tradition at Gulfstream Park” said Mr. Dunn.  “It is an exciting time for Gulfstream and the customers can expect a great experience as the Village at Gulfstream Park moves towards completion.  Greg Rayburn, Magna Entertainment Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer stated “with the new meet around the corner and with the grand opening of our retail center we are very pleased to have someone with Ken Dunn’s qualifications and reputation to solidify Gulfstream Park as the destination track for winter racing in North America.”

Gulfstream Park, which opened in 1939, is located on approximately 250 acres of land in the cities of Hallandale and Aventura, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Florida. World famous for its thoroughbred race meet each winter, highlighted by the $750,000 Florida Derby, Gulfstream Park is also now home to 850 Las Vegas-style slot machines, a luxurious poker room and restaurants. In February, Gulfstream Park will become home to a one-of-a-kind retail-residential center, to be known as The Village at Gulfstream Park. For more information, contact Mike Mullaney at 954-457-6451.
