• Chester was born in Pinelawn, N.Y. Graduate of Farmingdale (N.Y.) High School in 1953
• Owner, president and CEO of Clifford Broman & Son, Inc., a general contracting corporation in West Babylon, N.Y.
• On the Board of Directors for the Long Island Contractors Association and holds interests in several other Long Island general-contracting businesses
• Family has always enjoyed riding horses. In the mid 1990s, he decided to get into racing
• Purchased Chester Farms in Chestertown, N.Y., in 1995. The farm is 300 acres, with 100 acres of pas-ture. He has approximately 20 broodmares and approximately 20 horses in training
• Member of the New York Racing Association since 1998
• Biggest star: Friends Lake, winner of the 2004 Florida Derby and 15th in the Kentucky Derby
