• North American racing stable of H.H. Sheik Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, the deputy ruler and Minister of Finance for Dubai and brother to ruler Sheik Mohammed
• Raced 2006 Horse of the Year, and 2007 Donn Handicap and Dubai World Cup winner Invasor, and 2006 Belmont Stakes winner Jazil
• His Almutawakel won the Dubai World Cup in the biggest upset in that race's history in 1999
• Began assaulting the record books in Europe in the mid ‘80s and was leading owner in England in 1995 with 169 wins, $2.5-mil earned and a championship for 2-year-old Alhaarth
• In addition to numerous wins in Australia, England, France, Ireland and Germany, Shadwell was second in the 1990 TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint with Dayjur, who jumped a shadow just before the wire.
• Shadwell raced Sakhee through his 3-year-old campaign before he went to his brother's Godolphin Stable for whom he won the 2001 L'Arc de Triomphe and finished second, by a nose, to Tiznow in the Breeders' Cup Classic
• He owns stud farms in Australia, England, Ireland and 1,350-acre Shadwell Farm near Lexington
• He sponsors the Suburban at Belmont, the Travers at Saratoga and the Turf Mile at Keeneland
