Career: Fawkes finished eighth in purses won at the 2012-13 Gulfstream meeting, during which he saddled Bahamian Squall for victory in the Sunshine State Stakes.
Fawkes was tied for fifth in wins during the 2011-12 meeting, during which he saddled Apriority for a victory in the Mr. Prospector (G3). 
His career highlight came when Big Drama captured the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1), which was followed by a track-record breaking triumph in the 2011 Mr. Prospector (G3).  Big Drama’s other lucrative triumph came in the $750,000 Delta Jackpot (G3) in 2008. 
Fawkes saddled Duke of Mischief for a big-money win in the 2011 $1 million Charles Town Classic (G3). 
Another top horse he trained was Forty One Carats, winner of the 1999 Indiana Derby and Pegasus Handicap who set a track record when winning Calder’s Smile Sprint.
Other: He grew up around show horses, hunters and jumpers. 
He had a brief career as a jockey after a friend introduced him to the races in Illinois. 
He moved to Florida 15 years ago.
