HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The Rainbow 6 was solved Saturday as one single winning ticket holder cashed in on a $39,320.72 payday when BLC Stable’s Cat ‘n Fiddle topped the field in the wager’s final leg at odds of 15-1.
Three horses – My Nobleman, Mutaka, and Cat ‘n Fiddle – were alive as singles heading into the tenth race, a $12,500 claiming event on the turf, and Cat ‘n Fiddle was able to secure a takedown of the jackpot. The winning combination for the popular multi-race bet, a 20-cent base wager, was 6-9-2-2-7-5.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved on April 6 for $29,235.38, the day after a mandatory payout of $7.215 million resulted in multiple winning tickets of $14,592.
Although the Rainbow 6 jackpot was taken down in its entirety, neither the 50-cent Pick 5 nor the Super Hi-5 was hit. There will be a carryovers heading into Sunday’s nine-race card of $15,145.51 for the Pick 5 and $2,504.57 for the Super Hi-5. The Rainbow 6 will begin anew Sunday and will consist of the fourth through ninth races.
