The Rainbow 6 has a carryover Thursday of $130,294 and has gone unsolved for 15 consecutive programs. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
If there is no single ticket sold with all six winners Thursday, the guaranteed pool Friday will be $350,000. On Friday, a bettor doesn’t necessarily have to hold a unique ticket with all six winners to grab a share of the mandatory carryover pool. All bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence will share in the entire pool that day.
Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9, with five of the six races scheduled to be contested on turf. Races 4 and 5 are maiden events slated to be run at five furlongs on grass. Race 6, a six-furlong $12,500 claiming event on the main track, will be followed by three races scheduled for turf, including a conditioned claimer at 1 1/16 miles, a 7 ½-furlong maiden special weight test, and a 1 1/16-mile $12,500 claiming race that attracted a 14-horse field and two also-eligibles.
