Following a mandatory payout held on May 22, the popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for 17 straight racing programs.
Multiple tickets were sold on Thursday’s 2-1-7-4-4-9 combination, each worth $996.32 on the wager that spanned Races 3-8.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9.
There will be a two-day carryover of $12,800.85 for Friday’s Super Hi-5 on Race 9.
