HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Following three straight programs with mandatory payouts of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 pools, the popular multi-race wager is scheduled for a fresh start when live racing returns to Gulfstream Park Friday.
Wednesday's mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 produced a payoff of $2350.52 for multiple ticketholders with the combination of 5-5-9-6-3-2.
Whereas all bettors selecting the most winners in the six-race sequence shared in the whole pool for the past three programs, a bettor again must hold the only ticket will all six winners to be eligible to take down the whole pool on Friday. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
On Sunday, the Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $100,000 for the six-race sequence that will include all stakes, including the $250,000 Smile Sprint (G2) and the $250,000 Princess Rooney (G2), the co-features on the $1.175 million Summit of Speed program. Sunday's Late Pick 4 ($100,000) and the Pick 5 ($50,000) will also have guaranteed pools.
