HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the ninth straight racing program at Gulfstream Park Friday, resulting in a $88,046.45 carryover jackpot pool for Friday’s 10-race program.
Multiple tickets with the 4-5-4-6-5-3 combination were each worth $758.10 Friday.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Saturday's six-race sequence (Races 6-11) includes the running of the $75,000 Trinniberg Stakes in the eighth race, featuring Grande Shores.
The Rainbow 6 Jackpot was cracked on July 16 for a $164,483 Payoff.
There will also be a Super Hi-5 Carryover of $3,394.05 for Saturday's final race.
A fundraiser for the Permanently Disabled jockeys' fund Saturday will feature a 'Dunk the Jock' event, during which fans can purchase three chances to send one of Gulfstream's jockey into the dunk-tank for a $5 donation.
On Sunday, Gulfstream Park will hold special drawings and T-shirt giveaways in conjunction with Triple Crown champion American Pharoah's return to action in the $1.75 million Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park. Doors to Gulfstream's Silks simulcast facility will open at 10:30 a.m. Sunday to accommodate Monmouth's 11:30 a.m. post time.
