The previous record for a two-program handle was set Florida Derby (G1) Weekend of last year when total wagering was $48.792 million, more than $8 million over 2016 figures.
“This weekend shows what fans should come to expect from The Stronach Group, not only in world-class racing and life-changing wagers, but in entertainment, fashion and food,” said Gulfstream General Manager Bill Badgett. “We had some incredible moments from our athletes on the track this weekend and some remarkable feedback from those attending the weekend program. We will continue to challenge ourselves to engage the public, support horsemen, and create memorable moments.”
