Apr 18, 2019
Lopez Wins Four

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a carryover Friday afternoon of $295,699.48.

First race post is 1:15 p.m. Multiple winning tickets Thursday on the Rainbow 6 returned $8,091.38.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence begins with the fifth race, a $35,000 maiden claiming event at 1 1/16 miles on the turf that drew a field of 12. The seventh and 10th races are scheduled at five furlongs on the turf.

There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover Thursday of $2,229.56

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

NOTE: Jockey Paco Lopez won four consecutive races in the middle of Thursday’s program. Lopez won the third aboard Mystery Witness ($4), the fourth with Arms Wide Open ($4.40), the fifth with Si Te Vas ($8.60) and the sixth with Tiger Blood ($9.80).
