The final shipment of European runners for this year’s Breeders’ Cup arrived late Monday night at the quarantine barn at Santa Anita. Aidan O’Brien’s party of nine runners, including St Nicholas Abbey (Turf) and Excelebration (Mile), touched down in California shortly after 8 p.m., and having cleared customs were safely bedded down by 11 p.m.

(October 24, 2012) – Led by multiple grade I winner Game On Dude, defending Ladies’ Classic champion Royal Delta, dominating turf stars Wise Dan and  Point of Entry,  and 2011 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, 180 horses, including eight defending or former Breeders’ Cup Champions, have been pre-entered for the 2012 Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
