HALLANDALEBEACH, Fl – The biggest stars in horse racing – many of whom wintered at Gulfstream Park and Palm Meadows – will go post November 4-5 in the $26 million Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs, and Gulfstream will be the place to watch and wager on all 15 races.

The list of Gulfstream and Palm Meadows alumni expected to compete in the Breeders’ Cup is impressive and includes Grade I winners Stay Thirsty, Tizway, Big Drama, Winter Memories, Uncle Mo, Brilliant Speed, Jackson Bend, It’s Tricky, Giant Ryan, Ruler On Ice and Shackleford.

Gulfstream’s Silks Simulcast Room, the Southeast’s most luxurious and comfortable simulcast center, will once again be South Florida’s headquarters for one of racing’s biggest days. Patrons purchasing carrels ($10 and $5) will be entered to win Breeders’ Cup merchandise both Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5. Those purchasing a Daily Racing Form or program Saturday will receive a free Gulfstream Park t-shirt.

Racing begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Churchill Downs with the first Breeders’ Cup race going off at 4:10 p.m. Racing begins Saturday at 12:05 p.m. with the first Breeders’ Cup race going off at 1:20 p.m.

Silks will open at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
