Crown Expands to Eight Races and $1 Million at Gulfstream Dec. 7
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Trainer nominations for the $1 million Claiming Crown Dec. 7 at Gulfstream Park are due Friday, September 20.
For a payment of just $100, a trainer will become eligible to nominate any number of horses. The deadline for horse nominations is Friday, November 15, and the deadline for supplemental nominations is Wednesday, December 4.
The Claiming Crown will be held for the second consecutive year at Gulfstream Park. Last year's Claiming Crown produced a record handle. The 2014 Claiming Crown has been expanded from seven to eight races and total purses will go from $850,000 to $1 million.
