Kuehne Racing Stable’s 4-year-old Candyman E has won both of his starts at the Gulfstream Park meet this year and appears likely to be favored to make it three straight in Friday’s ‘two other than’ optional/allowance feature with jockey J.L. Castanon taking a return call for trainer Michael Mareina.
 

La Luna De Miel Stars In Orchid Stakes

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – La Luna de Miel continued a rapid ascension to turf stardom Sunday at Gulfstream with an impressive victory in the $150,000 Orchid Stakes (G3)
The length decision in the 1-1/2-mile turf stakes for fillies and mares was her second victory in as many starts at Gulfstream for trainer Graham Motion since being imported from Germany, where the daughter of Monsun had won one of two races.
 

'Mucho Macho' & Kathmanblu Drill For Louisiana Engagements

 Reeves Thoroughbred Racing and partners’ 3-year-old colt Mucho Macho Man and Five D Thoroughbred and Wind River Stable’s 3-year-old filly Kathmanblu each posted workouts Saturday morning at Gulfstream Park ahead of a trip to New Orleans next week 

Cal Nation Back In Action At Gulfstream

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Cal Nation’s second start has been greatly anticipated since the Todd Pletcher-trained colt pulled away to victory by nearly eight lengths under a hand ride from John Velazquez at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 5.
The wait is over. The 3-year-old son of Distorted Humor will make his second lifetime start in Saturday’s third race, a stakes-quality, entry-level allowance race for 3-year-olds.
