Gulfstream Raffle to Benefit Florida Thoroughbred Retirement Saturday, July 13
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park will hold a raffle during its live racing program Saturday, July 13 to benefit the Florida Thoroughbred Retirement and Adoptive Care (TRAC) program.
Some of the items to be auctioned off Saturday from local shops, restaurants and corporations will include a basketball signed by the champion Miami Heat, an Apple iPad Mini, gift baskets from Pottery Barn, Starbucks and Williams-Sonoma, and dining certificates from Luca Bella and Ten Palms.
Tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. The raffle table will be located in the breezeway between the walking ring and racetrack. You do not need to be present to win. If you can't attend but wish to purchase tickets, you can go to www.fltrac.org and hit 'donate' or call 305.336.2647.
Florida TRAC is dedicated to finding adoptive "forever" homes for retired Thoroughbreds. Since 2009, more than 500 horses have entered the program and approximately one-third have been placed in adoptive homes. Gulfstream Park supports Florida TRAC monthly and plays host to several fund-raising initiatives throughout the year.
