Lead: Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) winner Trinniberg arrived at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday after a two-month layoff spent at Crupi's New Castle Farm in Ocala. The 4-year-old is expected to resume training Monday, Jan. 21.

Trainer Shivananda Parbhoo has yet to set a date for Trinniberg’s next race. “Right now we’re focused on getting him back into training and making sure he’s healthy,” he said.

Trinniberg is one of three finalists for Male Sprinter of the Year at Saturday evening's 42nd annual Eclipse Awards at Gulfstream Park. Parbhoo admitted he was "not prepared for the nomination."

"Winning would mean everything,” said Parbhoo, who has 22 seats reserved for his closest friends and family at the awards ceremony.

Big Saturday Card: With six stakes races on the card for this Saturday’s Florida Sunshine Millions, Gulfstream Park anticipates a great day of racing.

The 10th race on Saturday will be the $400,000 Florida Sunshine Million Classic where Mucho Macho Man will attempt to defend his title against seven others going 1 1/8 miles. His competition will include Ron the Greek and Fort Loudon.

The $150,000 Florida Sunshine Millions Turf will feature Doubles Partner, Slews Answer and Bad Debt while the $150,000 Filly & Mare Turf has drawn a field of seven including Hooh Why and Romacaca.

Post time is 12:45 p.m.

Who’s Hot:  Current leading Jockey Javier Castellano had three winning mounts Wednesday, winning with Evil Powder ($8.20) in the second, Houston Bull ($4) in the eighth and Lemons to Lemonade ($4) in the ninth. Evil Powder and Houston Bull were both trained by Peter Walder.
