Who's Hot: Leading jockey Javier Castellano rode four winners Thursday afternoon. Those four wins included two for trainer Chad Brown; Don't Cry for Me ($8.60) in the fifth and Pianist ($5.40) in the ninth. Castellano's other two winners were aboard Love Train ($8.20), a first-time starter for trainer Steve Klesaris, and Starship Valor ($3.20) in the fourth.
Trainer Giuseppe Iadisernia kicked off the day by saddling the winners of the first two races, Mr. J ($22.40) in the first and Norway Star ($4.80) in the second.
Superstar Saturday: Gulfstream's 12-race program Saturday will include four stakes worth $1.1 million, including the $500,000 Donn Handicap (G1) and $300,000 Kitten's Joy Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (G1).
The Donn has attracted a wide-open field including 2012 Florida Derby (G1) winner Take Charge Indy, Flat Out, Csaba, Bourbon Courage, Ultimate Eagle and Graydar while the Kitten's Joy Turf 'Cap has attracted 2011 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Animal Kingdom and the multiple Grade I winner Point of Entry.
