Lead: The week began with no unique winning ticket on the 10-cent Rainbow 6, which means Thursday's carryover will be $604,029.14.
The Rainbow 6 is paid out when there is only one unique ticket with all six winners on the last six races. Those holding tickets with six winners Wednesday received $500.56.
First U.S. Win for Reyes: Jockey Frank Reyes captured his first U.S. victory Wednesday when he rode Ms. Tiznow to victory in Gulfstream's third race.
Reyes, 22, is a native of Venezuela where he rode 53 winners. His victory on Ms. Tiznow, owned and trained by Reynaldo Nobles, was accomplished at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.33. Ms. Tiznow paid $8.20 and was Reyes eighth mount in the U.S.
"I'm very excited and happy," Reyes said. "I want to thank trainer Reynaldo Nobles for giving me this opportunity as well as the assistant and everyone involved with Ms. Tiznow."
Who's Hot: John Velazquez wound up in the winner's circle after two of his races aboard Code of Conduct ($4) in the seventh and Master Wesley ($9.20) in the ninth.
