HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park's 20-cent Rainbow 6 will live to see another. The popular wager once again had numerous winning tickets which means the jackpot will be $2,141,640.17 when racing resumes against Wednesday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.
Those with all six winners on their tickets Sunday received a consolation payoff of $11.250.36. Saturday's consolation payoff was a whopping $81,697.28.
Itsmyluckyday and Palace Malice Lead Big Weekend
Last year's Holy Bull (G2) winner Itsmyluckyday, second in the Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1) and Preakness Stakes (G1), is expected to meet last year's Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Palace Malice in Saturday's $250,000 Gulfstream Park Handicap (G2). The first 500 ladies who purchase a Gulfstream Handicapper or Daily Racing Form will get a t-shirt. The giveaway begins at noon. Ladies will also be able to enter to win a $300 bet on the Gulfstream Park Handicap. Registration will take place between noon and 3 p.m. in the Breezeway.
Who's Hot: Jockey Corey Lanerie rode three winners Saturday in She's Justified ($7.20) in the sixth, Very Playful ($34.20) in the seventh and March Reward ($9) in the 11th. Jockey Luis Saez also had two winners in Have the Last Word ($9) and West Coast Chick ($10.80), the latter being trained by Nick Zito, his third winner of the weekend. Jockey Paco Lopez also scored a riding double with Ribo Bobo in the Caixa Eletronica and Midnite Silver ($6.60) in the 10th.
Trainer Dale Romans had the hat trick, winning with Suns Out Guns Out ($4.20) in the second, She's Justified and March Reward.
