Ten Palms Easter Buffet Begins at Noon

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park's Easter Sunday program, beginning at 1:25 p.m., will feature the $75,000 Safari Queen as well as a 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover of $5,367,792.08.

Once again, there was no single winner of Saturday's Rainbow 6. Those holding tickets with six winners received $14,020.14. There was $398,650 bet into Saturday's Rainbow 6. For the second consecutive day, there will also be a carryover in the Super Hi-5. Sunday's carryover will be $13,714.66.

Ten Palms Restaurant will once again play host to its popular Easter Sunday Buffet between noon and 5 p.m. The buffet is $32.99 for adults (including a free Mimosa) and half price for children under 12. For reservations call 954.455.6760.

The $75,000 Safari Queen, at five furlongs on the turf, has drawn a field of nine including the multiple-stakes winner Madame Giry.

NOTES: Besilu Stables Fountain of Youth (G2) winner and Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1) runner-up Wildcat Red will now be ridden in the Kentucky Derby by Luis Saez. Saez was expected to ride Miller Lite Holy Bull (G2) winner Cairo Prince before the colt was knocked off the Derby trail Saturday with an ankle injury...With no racing Sunday at Aqueduct, several New York-based riders have been named to ride Sunday during Gulfstream's eight-race program, including Saez, Cornelio Velasquez and Rajiv Maragh....Bird E House, a 3-year-old gelding saddled for the first time by Marty Wolfson, broke his maiden at a mile Saturday, running away from the Peter Walder-trained Whats Up Big Guy and Todd Pletcher-trained American Bond around the turn to win easily by 7 1 /4 lengths while covering the mile in 1:37.59. The son of Birdstone clipped heels and lost his jockey in his maiden debut at Aqueduct in November and then finished fourth at Gulfstream March 7...

Who's Hot: Jockey Gabriel Saez not only won the $75,000 The Lincoln aboard Stormy Rush ($6.60), but he also won the early daily double with Financial Aid ($10.40) in the first and Souper Lucky ($3.40) in the second. Jockey Abdiel Jaen rode a pair of winners, winning aboard Forall the Marbles ($13.60) in the fourth and Shot Girl ($17.40) in the sixth.
