HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 will carry a guaranteed jackpot of $200,000 into Saturday’s nine-race program at Gulfstream Park.
The popular multi-race wager, which requires a bettor to hold the only ticket with the winners of the six-race sequence to hit the jackpot, went unsolved Friday for the 10th straight racing day since a mandatory payout on May 26. Multiple ticketholders cashed for $14.58 with Friday’s winning combination of 5-all-6-all-3-all. A strong rain storm necessitated that Races 4, 6 & 8 to be moved from the turf course to the main track after the opening leg of the sequence had been run, resulting in all runners covered in the affected races being regarded as winners.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved on May 25, when a Palm Beach bettor cashed for nearly $6.7 million.
Saturday’s first-race post time will be 1:25 p.m. with the Rainbow 6 starting on the fourth race. There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $1,940.55.
Who’s Hot: Jockey Juan Leyva scored a double, visiting the winner’s circle with Hot Coffee ($3.80) in the third and Celtics Stride ($4.20) in the fifth. John Delgado also doubled up with Solicitation ($10.40) in the fourth and Stallwalkin’ Dude ($4.40) in the sixth.
Rainbow Six Carryover: $200,000.
Super Hi 5 Carryover: $1,940.55.
