I'll Have Another Wins the 138th Kentucky Derby

J. Paul Reddam’s I’ll Have Another ran past a freewheeling Bodemeister in deep stretch to win the May 5 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I). Dullahan rallied for third. Went the Day Well finished fourth.

Bodemeister went for the early lead in the 1 1/4-mile Derby and set very quick fractions of :22.32 and :45.39 while being chased by Trinniberg. Hansen followed in third.
