HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The Isabella Angel rated well off the pace before storming by the tiring pacesetters to capture the featured $80,000 allowance at Gulfstream Park by five lengths Sunday.

Life At Ten, the 1-5 favorite ridden by John Velazquez, finished second, a nose better than third-place finisher Jehan. It was the first start for Life At Ten since losing contact with the field and finishing last in the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (G1) at Churchill Downs last fall.

“She ran great.  There was no plan with her.  I was just going to see where she took me,” Velazquez.said.

Anthony Sciametta saddled Life At Ten in the absence of trainer Todd Pletcher. The favorite stalked the pace set by Jehan into the far turn and entered the stretch between Jehan to her outside and Musical Romance to her inside, while The Isabella Angel started to make her move under Fernando Jara.  Jehan opened a length lead at the top of the stretch but was no match for The Isabella Angel, who won going away. Live At Ten fought back to catch Jehan at the wire.

The Isabella Angel ($13.00), who ran a mile in 1:36 2/5, captured her third victory in her last four starts for trainer Giuseppe Iadisernia.
