Jockeys, Horses Escape Serious Injury In First Race Spill

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Two jockeys and horses escaped serious injury Saturday in a spill during the first race at Gulfstream Park.           

Jockey Dylan Davis, riding Leveraged Loan, and jockey Abdiel Jaen aboard Cool Colony were both involved in the spill around the turn of the one-mile event. Jaen was uninjured while Davis was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with leg pain. Both Cool Colony and Leveraged Loan got up after the spill and were fine.           

Unbridled Saint, who finished third, was disqualified to last by stewards after the race.
