Lopez Taken To Hospital Complaining of Back Pain
Jockey Paco Lopez was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital early Sunday afternoon complaining of back pain after being involved in a spill in the second race at Gulfstream Park.
Lopez went down when his mount, Tiznow Mytime, fell going down the backstretch. Jockey Pedro Monterrey Jr., was unseated from his mount Personal Good while trying to avoid the fallen horse. Monterrey escaped injury.
Lopez had full movement and both horses returned safely.
