HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Hall of Fame jockey Edgar Prado, sidelined since April 10 when he fractured his C-7 vertebra during a training accident at Keeneland, will return to riding Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
Prado has been named to ride Risk Factor in the $75,000 Big Drama.
"I feel much better," said Prado Wednesday. "I did my rehabilitation and been riding the past three days. Absolutely, I'm looking forward to riding Saturday."
Prado said he's not sure where he'll ride Sunday. "It depends," he said. "If there's nothing in New York I will stay here."
Prado spent the winter riding at Gulfstream and was set to ride Vinceremos in the Blue Grass (G1) before being injured.
