Rahy's Attorney And Wilson Take Pan American

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – As Emma-Jayne Wilson urged on Rahy’s Attorney mount at the top of the Gulfstream Park stretch in Sunday’s $150,000 Pan American (G3), the finish line didn’t seem all that far away.

The Canadian-based jockey, who rides regularly at Woodbine with great success, rode her mount with confidence on the Gulfstream turf course while recalling the pre-race words of trainer Ian Black.

La Luna De Miel Stars In Orchid Stakes

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – La Luna de Miel continued a rapid ascension to turf stardom Sunday at Gulfstream with an impressive victory in the $150,000 Orchid Stakes (G3)
The length decision in the 1-1/2-mile turf stakes for fillies and mares was her second victory in as many starts at Gulfstream for trainer Graham Motion since being imported from Germany, where the daughter of Monsun had won one of two races.

Hilda's Passion Beats The Clock In Inside Information

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – From the top of the stretch to the finish line, Hilda’s Passion was pretty much just racing against the clock in Saturday’s $150,000 Inside Information (G2) – and the Todd Pletcher-trained 4-year-old filly won.

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - He’s won stakes races at six furlongs, nine furlongs and at seven furlongs, and in Saturday’s Gulfstream Park Handicap (G2), Luis Olivares’ Tackleberry added an eight-furlong stakes score to his resume.

Sent off the 9-2 fourth betting choice in the field of eight, Tackleberry set early fractions of 24.59 and 47.68 seconds before opening a clear lead in the stretch and holding on to a neck victory over Soaring Empire and Tizway.

Uncle Mo Dazzling in 3-year-old Debut at Gulfstream

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL. – Uncle Mo hardly took a deep breath in the Gulfstream Park winner’s circle Saturday after romping to an impressive victory in the $100,000 Timely Writer Stakes.

Never Retreat Advances To Victory In Honey Fox

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Never Retreat was a stretch factor in her first two graded-stakes starts at the Gulfstream Park meeting but ran out of ground while closing from far back in the field. The 6-year-old mare was a factor throughout the running of Saturday’s $100,000 Honey Fox (G3), leaving her with much less ground to cover on her way to victory over 10 fillies and mares.

Little Mike Leads The Way In Canadian

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – A return to Grade 3 company was all it took for Little Mike to find the Gulfstream Park winner’s circle for the second time this year, resulting in a strong front-running victory in Sunday’s $150,000 Canadian Turf.

Soldat Convincing In Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – When Kiaran McLaughlin shipped his stable to Florida this winter he brought with him a colt that was a proven star on turf. But the lure of the Kentucky Derby is so strong that the New York-based trainer couldn’t resist the urge to give Soldat another chance to prove himself on dirt.

Pletcher Puts On The 'Heat' In Davona Dale

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – R Heat Lightning had a troubled trip when finishing fourth in the Forward Gal (G2) in her 2011 debut at Gulfstream Park, but the sub-par performance might have caused some to speculate that the daughter of Trippi’s success last year was merely a result of  possessing a high level of precociousness.

The Todd Pletcher-trained 3-year-old filly dismissed such thoughts Saturday in emphatic fashion while dominating a strong field of eight by 7-1/4 lengths in the $250,000 Davona Dale Stakes (G2).

Keertana Dashes to Victory in The Very One

The $100,000 The Very One (G3) was run at 1-3/8 miles at Gulfstream Park Sunday, but the Grade 3 turf stakes for fillies and mares pretty much turned into a sprint.

After Chilean champion Belle Watling was allowed to set a dawdling pace for a mile in her U.S. debut, the real running only started at the top of the homestretch, with Keertana managing to out-kick her four rivals on her way to a half-length victory.
