Blended Takeout for Champions Meet to be Under 20 Percent
20-cent Rainbow 6 Will Pay Out 70 Percent and be Seeded with $50,000

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park will offer a variety of wagering opportunities this winter along with a blended takeout rate of 19.90 percent when its traditional Champions Meet kicks off Saturday, Nov. 30.

The biggest change to Gulfstream's betting menu this winter will be the minimum wager on the Rainbow 6, which has produced life-changing payoffs the past three seasons. The wager will go from a minimum of 10 cents to 20 cents. The change allows simulcast bettors in Canada, where the minimum bet is 20 cents, to participate in the Rainbow 6 on a daily basis, thereby expanding the market for the popular exotic wager. In addition to the doubling of the base wager, the percentage returned to winners on days the jackpot isn't hit has been increased to 70 percent from 60 percent.
The Rainbow 6 will have a guaranteed pool Opening Day of $50,000.
There will be 50-cent minimums on Pick 5 and trifecta wagers and $1 minimums on win, place and show, exacta, Bet 3 and Super Hi 5 wagers. The superfecta will have a minimum wager of 10 cents.
On Dec. 7, Gulfstream will offer a 10-cent Ultimate 8 on the eight Claiming Card stakes races.
