REQUEST AN APPEARANCE


Each year, Gulfstream Park jockeys, trainers and officials make appearances at several community and corporate events. Though we strive to reach each fan, the time of each jockey and trainer can be limited due to his or her racing schedule. If you are interested in having a jockey, trainer, official or horse make an appearance at your event, please review the information and submit a request below.

JOCKEY
Available to share personal background and career journey.

TRAINER
Available to share background and what goes into training world-class horses.

HANDICAPPER

Available to explain the handicapping process and how to choose a winning horse.

VETERINARIAN
Available to share personal background, schooling needed to become a vet, what a typical day in the life looks like.


HORSE RETIREMENT SPECIALIST
Someone will be on hand to give information on what happens to horses after life on the racetrack. What types of careers there are and where they go.

HORSE*

Available for demonstrations on proper horse care and grooming.

*If a horse is to be requested for an event, the following three conditions must be met: 
There must be an area appropriate to load and unload the horse. A grassy and shaded area for the horse during appearance. There must be water available for the horse.


Will media be present at this event?

PLEASE NOTE:
When considering appearance requests, we adhere to the criteria listed below:

  • Incomplete requests will not be considered.
  • All requests must be received four (4) weeks prior to the event.
  • Please clearly define the role for the jockey (i.e. speak to the school, hand out awards, etc.)
  • No activities with risk of injury will be considered
