Sr. Quisqueyano pulled off a 20-1 upset in the 2015 $250,000 Sunshine Millions Classic. Sr. Quisqueyano ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:50.09 to record his eighth lifetime victory, boosting his career bankroll to $713,560 with the $153,450 winner’s share of the purse.

Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania State Breds Now Eligible
Some Purses to be Reallocated to Florida Sire Stakes                    
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association (FTBOA) announced today the reallocation of $350,000 from the Sunshine Millions to other Florida-bred stakes races during the remainder of the year.
Those stakes will include the Florida Sire Stakes, formerly the Florida Stallion Stakes, run for the first time in its 42-year history earlier this year at Gulfstream Park. 
Gulfstream Park and the FTBOA also announced the Sunshine Millions, to be contested Saturday, Jan. 17 and previously restricted to Florida-breds, will now also be open to horses bred in New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania. 
The Sunshine Millions will feature the $250,000 Classic, $150,000 Distaff, $100,000 Sprint, $100,000 Turf and $100,000 Filly & Mare Turf. 
"With such short notice, and with purses coming out of the pool, we will include horses bred in New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania to make the fields on Sunshine Millions Day bigger and more competitive," said Gulfstream Park's Vice President of Racing and General Manager P.J. Campo. "We will also look forward to working with these states in the future to bring the Sunshine Millions purses back up to $1 million."

In 2015, the five Florida Sunshine Millions races were:
