Since 1939, Gulfstream Park has been one of the most important venues for horseracing in America. Each year from January through April the world’s top thoroughbred contenders pass through Gulfstream Park with their eye on Triple Crown glory. Historically, the $1,000,000 Florida Derby is the final stop for thoroughbred racing’s best before they take center stage the first Saturday in May. In 2006, Gulfstream Park completed a $200 million renovation of the clubhouse including the first Las Vegas style slots in South Florida. Today, the Casino boasts 850 of the latest, hottest slot machines, electronic blackjack and roulette plus 20 live action poker tables providing all the casino action one can handle.
February 2010 ushered in a new era at Gulfstream Park with the addition of The Village at Gulfstream Park. This Mediterranean inspired walking village offers world-class shopping and one-of-a-kind fashion boutiques, upscale home accessory shops plus over fifteen restaurants and bars to satisfy every taste.
