HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is expected to grow to an estimated $75,000 when racing resumes Friday at Gulfstream Park, where the popular multi-race wager that has gone unsolved for three racing days following a mandatory payout.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence, which will span Races 4-9, will feature a pair of well-stocked optional claiming allowances in Races 7 and 8.

Joe Orseno-trained Rezasrolex is scheduled to seek his seventh win in a row in Race 7 while taking on Jose D’Angelo-trained Gabaldon in a 5 ½-furlong non-winners-of-two event for Florida-breds on Tapeta. The 4-year-old Bucchero gelding has been competing primarily in starter allowances since being claimed for $16,000 in 2023. Gabaldon, the 2024 Royal Palm Juvenile winner who finished second in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot, will make his first start on the all-weather surface after finishing second behind stablemate Itza Boss on turf last time out.

Veteran stakes performer Mish returns from a 7 ½-month layoff in a field of seven 3-year-olds and up. The Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained 8-year-old gelding has won 10 races and has been in the money in 24 of 35 career starts. Edgard Zayas has the call. David Fawkes-trained Pure Class, an impressive winner last time out at Friday’s level of competition, appears to be the horse to beat. Emisael Jaramillo has the return mount.

In the Rainbow 6, the jackpot pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
