Incredibolt to Enter Preakness 151
5/11/2026LAUREL, MD - Incredibolt, the sixth-place finisher in the Kentucky Derby (G1) is heading to Saturday’s 151st running of the Preakness Stakes (G1). Trainer Riley Mott said Monday afternoon that the son of Bolt d’Oro, owned by Pin Oak Stud LLC, would be entered in the second leg of the Triple Crown.
“The horse is doing extremely well,” Mott said by phone from Louisville, Ky. Monday afternoon. “He came out of the Derby in good shape, and we have been clocking the field of (Preakness) horses and we thought it would be the right opportunity to try the horse back.”
Mott said that Incredibolt would train at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning and then take a 10-hour van ride to Maryland. The expected arrival time is early Wednesday morning. Jaime Torres, who has ridden Incredibolt in all six of his career races, will be on board Saturday. Torres won the 2024 Preakness with Seize the Grey.
Incredibolt has three wins in six career races. He won the Virginia Derby in his last start before the Kentucky Derby. As a 2-year-old, he was victorious in the Street Sense (G3) at Churchill.
