In the Rainbow 6, the jackpot pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

On mandatory payout days, the entire pool is disbursed to the bettor or bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence. Solved by one lucky bettor for $110,007 June 14, the Rainbow 6 last produced multiple mandatory payouts of $41,598 June 21.

Sunday’s sequence begins in Race 4, a maiden special weight for 3-year-olds and up going one mile on the main track. Chemical Romance tries the dirt for the first time after finishing third twice in five prior starts, all on dirt or Tapeta. Lost Money adds blinkers from the rail since running fifth as the favorite sprinting seven furlongs May 16.

Race 5 is a 5 ½-furlong claimer for fillies and mares 3 and up where trainer Kathleen O’Connell sends out the potent pair of Zany Lady, a winner at the course and distance April 2 returning to the dirt after two failed tries on Tapeta, and The Beaster Bunny, third in a similar spot going six furlongs June 7. Sweet Agenda, who edged The Beaster Bunny by a head that day for second, also returns.

Seven sophomores make up the field in Race 6, a 5 ½-furlong maiden claiming sprint on the Tapeta. Serenity Path races first off the claim for trainer Michael Morrison after four seconds in six previous tries. Happy Feet Hannah returns with blinkers after going unraced since a fifth in the FSS Desert Vixen last September. The Coromoto has been twice in three starts, the last against elders.

Claimed out of four consecutive starts and five of his last six, 7-year-old gelding Giant Teddy chases a 10th career win – all on Tapeta – in Race 7, a five-furlong optional claiming all-weather dash for 3-year-olds and up. Simliarly, 6-year-old Rachel’s Coach has earned each of his eight lifetime wins on Tapeta and been popular at the claim box, taken in each of his last two starts. Raydar Control has won back-to-back starts and is 4-for-9 overall.

The feature comes in Race 8, a seven-furlong allowance for Florida-bred fillies and mares 3 and older. Golden Valley has finished first or second in eight of her last nine starts dating back to last summer, most recently beaten by $100,000 Musical Romance Handicap contender Just a Philly. Don’t Do It Lucy, a 3-year-old daughter of Girvin, makes just her second start after debuting with a nose victory in an open six-furlong maiden optional claimer March 26 at Gulfstream. Sweet Dream Lady has been off the board just twice in eight tries, two of them wins.

Live action wraps up in Race 9, a maiden claiming event for 3-year-olds and up going 1 1/16 miles on the Tapeta. Risk, a $130,000 son of Twirling Candy, drops in class and sheds blinkers looking to graduate in his sixth start that includes one second. My Foolish Notion is poised to break through after finishing second or third in five straight races.
