HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – A mandatory payout of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool yielded multiple $406.32 payoffs on the third of eight consecutive Monday programs at Gulfstream Park.

Cruzin Man ($16.60), racing for the first time since New Year’s Day, led all the way in the Race 9 finale, an optional claiming allowance for 3-year-olds and up sprinting five furlongs on the turf, to complete the winning 5-5-4-3-8-2 combination.

There were 913 winning tickets on the Rainbow 6.

Other winners in the sequence were Wordonastreet ($3.40) in Race 4, Aerialist ($4.60) in Race 5, Khozy Me Up ($5.20) in Race 6, Ignis Cor ($6.60) in Race 7 and Latch the Hatch ($6.20) in Race 8.

A total of $432,538 was bet into the Rainbow 6 Monday on top of a $25,002.75 carryover from Sunday’s program, for a grand total of $457,541.

In the Rainbow 6, the jackpot pool is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

On mandatory payout days, the entire pool is disbursed to the bettor or bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence.

The Rainbow 6 has produced multiple mandatory payouts of $48,609.94 July 13 and $5,084.66 July 20. There will be a mandatory payout every Monday at Gulfstream through the conclusion of the Royal Palm Meet Aug. 31.

Live racing resumes Saturday at Gulfstream, when the Rainbow 6 begins new spanning Races 4-9. Highlighting the sequence is the $70,000 Black Diamond Cat overnight handicap for 3-year-olds and up going a one-turn mile on the main track that drew a field of seven including last out Smile Sprint winner Viking and Grade 2 winner Steal Sunshine.

Monday’s 50-cent Late Pick 5 (Races 5-9) returned $452.55. There were payouts of $7,121.60 in the $1 Players Place Pick 8 (Races 2-9), $366.30 in the $3 Late Pick 3 (Races 7-9), $181 in the $5 Late Double (Races 8-9) and $1,010.70 in the $1 Summer Sweep Pick 5 featuring Races 3, 5 and 7 from Gulfstream and Races 2 and 3 from Horseshoe Indiana.
