HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - There were 992 winning tickets in Sunday’s mandatory payout of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 with each ticket returning $2,390.64.

There was $2,564,905 of new money Sunday and a carryover of $318,560.

The winning sequence (10-5-4-6-3-12):

  • Race 5: Sky’s Not Falling ($7.20)
  • Race 6: Wine On Sunday ($10)
  • Race 7: Etendre ($8.80)
  • Race 8: Silver Moonlight ($5)
  • Race 9: Maerdama ($3.60)
  • Race 10: Stealin Bases ($28.80)

The Rainbow 6 begins anew Wednesday with an estimated pool of $75,000.

On mandatory payout days, the entire Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is disbursed to the bettor or bettors with the most winners in the six-race sequence.

On non-mandatory days, the Rainbow 6 pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Gulfstream resumes live racing Wednesday, Dec. 24 with a nine-race program including the $125,000 Via Borghese for fillies and mares at 1 3/8 miles turf course. First race post is 12:20 p.m.

Gulfstream will be dark Thursday, Christmas Day, but will reopen Friday with a 10-race program and the featured $125,000 Rampart for fillies and mares at a mile on the main track.

NOTE: Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. saddles three winners on the afternoon. You Ain’t Poppn ($5.20) in Race 3, Silver Moonlight ($5) in Race 8 and Maerdama ($3.60) in Race 9. Jockey Micah Husbands was aboard You Ain’t Poppn and Silver Moonlight.
