Sunday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Estimated at $125,000

Sequence Co-Headlined by Proud Man, Pay Any Prince

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is expected to grow to an estimated $125,000 Sunday at Gulfstream Park, where the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the second racing day following a mandatory payout.

Sunday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10, featuring the $100,000 Proud Man Stakes in Race 7 and the $70,000 Pay Any Prince Handicap in Race 8.

Trainer Patrick Biancone will unveil a well-bred son of Leinster in the Proud Man, a 5 ½-furlong stakes for 2-year-olds. Gaelic Legacy, who sports a three-furlong ‘bullet’ workout from the gate at Palm Meadows in preparation for his debut, is a half-brother to multiple graded-stakes winner Mad House, who has won six of 13 starts and more than $600,000 in earnings. Sam Wilensky-trained Candy Coin, a daughter of Twirling Candy who has produced multiple bullet breezes at Gulfstream, will also make her debut against the boys in the Proud Man, in which she will face recent winners, Nick Tomlinson-trained Watson, Luis Ramirez-trained Spicy Taco, and Ramon Minguet-trained It’s Smoking.

Joe Orseno-trained win machine Rezasrolex will seek his 15th career victory from 22 starts in the Pay Any Price, a five-furlong overnight handicap for 3-year-olds and up on turf.

Rezasrolex, who is coming off a sharp allowance score on Tapeta, will likely be Sunday’s most popular ‘single’ in Rainbow 6 wagering as the 4-5 morning-line favorite in a field of seven.

In the Rainbow 6, the jackpot pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. On mandatory payout days, the entire pool is disbursed to the bettor or bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence.

Notes: Jockey Leonel Reyes, who missed the entire 2025-2026 Championship Meet after sustaining an open fracture of his left ankle in a spill last November, is back riding at full strength during the Royal Palm Meet. A two-time national champion in Venezuela before venturing to Gulfstream in 2016, Reyes rode two winners on Saturday’s Fourth of July program after notching three victories, including a score aboard Hot Rod Honey in the Sharp Susan Stakes, Friday. The 40-year-old rider, who has won multiple Gulfstream titles and more than 1000 races in North America, won Saturday’s opener aboard Open Court ($5.40) and Titan’s Edge ($12) in Race 3.
