Saturday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Rises to Nearly 324K

Bronzed Headlines Roar Stakes; A Bit of Both Tops Game Face Field
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot went unsolved for the 11th consecutive racing program at Gulfstream Park Friday, producing a carryover jackpot of $323,926.75 for Saturday’s 12:45 p.m. card.
Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $3,212.84.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 7-12 and will be kicked off by an optional claiming allowance for Florida-bred 3-year-olds headlined by Souper Stonehenge. The Live Oak Plantation homebred is coming off a dazzling 10 ½-length maiden victory for trainer Mark Casse.
The $75,000 Roar, a seven-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds carded as Race 11, will feature the stakes debut of Bronze, who has won two straight races since being claimed by trainer Jason Servis for $50,000 for Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables LLC. The Roar will also mark a return to one-turn racing for Garter and Tie, who finished off the board in the $1 million Florida Derby (G1) March 30.
Earlier on Saturday’s card, the Servis-trained A Bit of Both will take on six other 3-year-old fillies in the seven-furlong $75,000 Game Face in Race 5. The daughter of Paynter won her two most recent starts by a combined 13 lengths.
