– Gulfstream Park’s Sunday afternoon program will feature a 12-race program with a 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover of $442,830.64.
First race post Sunday is 12:45 p.m.
Sunday’s Rainbow 6 begins with the seventh race. Two of the races in the sequence will be $50,000 claiming events for 2-year-olds going six furlongs. There are also three races scheduled on the turf.
Multiple winning tickets on Saturday’s Rainbow 6 returned $3,273.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.
Jockey Marcos Meneses, lit up the tote board while riding three winners on Saturday’s card. Meneses won aboard longshot Sidney’s Charisma ($126.60) in the third, High Rolling Dude ($7.60) in the fourth and Ceci Valentina ($14.60) in the sixth….Edgard Zayas also had three winners. He rode two winners for Shooting Star Thoroughbreds – Chance It ($2.40) in the Dr. Fager Division of the Sire Stakes and Island Commish ($7.20) In the 13th – along with Eights and Aces ($4.20) in the 11th…Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr., also had a three-win day highlighted by the Shooting Star winners…
