Sunday’s Rainbow 6 Features 250k Guaranteed Pool

Field Pass Up in Time in Dania Beach

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a $250,000 guaranteed pool when racing resumes Sunday with a 12:35 p.m. first race post.

Multiple winning tickets on Saturday’s Rainbow 6, which featured Tiz the Law’s victory in the $250,000 Holy Bull (G3), were each worth $1,558.02.

Sunday’s Rainbow 6 sequence kicks off with a maiden special weight event at six furlongs for 3-year-old fillies and includes three scheduled turf races. The fifth race in the sequence is a $52,000 optional claimer with last year’s Holy Bull winner Harvey Wallbanger, Tampa Bay Derby (G2) runner-up Outshine and stakes-placed Trophy Chaser.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Ridden by Paco Lopez, Field Pass drove between South Bend and Get Smokin in the final yards to win his second race in seven starts. The son of Lemon Drop Kid covered a firm mile turf course in 1:37.70.

Emisael Jaramillo’s two wins came with Cheermeister ($17.20) in the $100,000 Sweetest Chant (G3) and Robintakincharge ($7.60) in Race 12. Trainer Todd Pletcher doubled with Fearless and Palm Springs ($3) in Race 7, while Bobby DiBona saddled Elusive Molly ($3.60) in Race 3 and Robintakincharge to wins.
